RJ Mahvash's special post for Yuzvendra Chahal

Punjab Kings (PBKS) leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal roared back to form with a match-winning spell of 4 wickets for 28 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Tuesday, April 15, in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) season. Defending just 112 runs, Chahal turned the match on its head with four crucial wickets, which significantly shifted the momentum in PBKS's favor in Mullunpur Stadium. The PBKS player's close friend RJ Mahvash was certainly mighty impressed with his bowling and went on to lavish huge praise on him on social media.

Yuzvendra Chahal spins a web on KKR, coach Ricky Ponting salutes the leg spinner

At one point of the run chase of just 112 runs, KKR were placed 55 for the loss of two wickets, with skipper Ajinkya Rahane and Angrish Raghuvanshi looking set to take the team home. However, the introduction of Chahal in the eighth over immediately reaped rewards as he trapped Rahane LBW (although the impact was outside off, and the batter failed to review). That was the turning moment in the match, as Chahal was unstoppable afterward.

The leg spinner went on to take the wickets of Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Rinku Singh, and Ramandeep Singh in his third over to put PBKS in complete ascendancy. However, what made the performance of Chahal even more special was that he played with a shoulder niggle.

"He had a fitness test before the game," revealed coach Ricky Ponting. "But Chahal told me, 'Coach, I am absolutely fine.' And then he delivered magic."

With this stunning come-from-behind win, PBKS etched their name into the record books as they successfully defended IPL's lowest total ever.
