Jasprit Bumrah brought some much-needed laughter to India’s camp ahead of the fourth Test against England. During a light training session at the Kent County Cricket Ground in Beckenham, the Indian pace spearhead playfully trolled Rishabh Pant with a popular Bollywood dialogue.

The Indian team had a light training day at the Kent County Cricket Ground in Beckenham after a one-hour bus ride from London. Songs playing around the dressing room ranged from devotional Hanuman Chalisa to English pop and Punjabi beats. It created a relaxed vibe as the players enjoyed a much-needed break before the pressure returns in Manchester.

India are currently behind in the series as England lead 2-1. The visitors lost a tight contest at Lord's by 22 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah Trolls Rishabh Pant With Hilarious Bollywood One-Liner at Training Ahead of 4th Test

During the session, a journalist tried talking to Rishabh Pant from a distance. Pant, who could not quite hear him, shouted, "Kuch sunai nahi de raha hain."

Without missing a beat, Jasprit Bumrah chimed in with, "Aaj Duggal Ji behere hain," mimicking a dialogue from the hit Bollywood comedy movie 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' starring Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra 

The witty exchange triggered laughter all around, including among the support staff and media present. 

Notably, Pant and Bumrah did not engage in any intense cricket activity during the session. Both stuck to gym workouts and basic drills. Pant avoided batting practice entirely as he is still nursing a finger injury he picked up during the Lord’s Test. Bumrah stayed off the bowling nets to give himself ample rest before the next Test.

Update on Jasprit Bumrah & Rishabh Pant’s Availability for 4th Test vs England 

Bumrah is expected to play in the fourth Test at Old Trafford. He has been India’s best bowler this series and has claimed 12 wickets, including two fifers. He missed the second Test to manage his workload.

Pant has been equally important with the bat. He scored twin centuries at Headingley and scored 74 runs in the first innings at Lord’s. After his injury, he did not keep wickets at Lord's but he could still play as a pure batter if not fully fit. Dhruv Jurel might take up the wicket-keeping duties if needed.

India must win or draw the fourth Test scheduled at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester from July 23 to stay alive in the series.
