Team India will begin their preparations for the upcoming tour of England by facing India A in a closed-door warm-up match scheduled to take place in Beckenham, under the jurisdiction of Kent Cricket Club.
The tour comprises a 5-match Test series, followed by ODI and T20I series in June. Once the IPL 2025 concludes, the players selected for the squad will start their practice in the first week of June and are expected to arrive in England before June 13. The India A team, which has already planned a Test match in England prior to the tour, will face Team India as part of their preparation. This warm-up match is set to span three days.

The broadcaster requested permission to broadcast the unofficial intra-squad Test match; however, it appears that this request was denied. Team India has opted for a closed-door match to keep their practice private.
Regarding the facilities in Beckenham, the stadium offers decent amenities, including a well-known dressing room and standard gym facilities.
As for squad selection, the selectors have not yet confirmed whether Rohit Sharma will lead the team for the 5-match Test series. Rumors suggest that he may choose to step aside, and reports indicate that the selectors are considering appointing Jasprit Bumrah to lead the team during the England tour. This decision will be made only after the conclusion of the IPL 2025.
Currently, the only scheduled warm-up match is the intra-squad match, and there has been no decision regarding India facing any local teams before the series against England. However, following tradition, there is a strong possibility that India will play against a County Club in a 2-day warm-up Test match.
