Mohammed Siraj yet again delivered for India in the ongoing fifth Test against England at the Oval with a lion-hearted display of bowling. Without the premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah, Siraj was seen in superb form and picked up three wickets to help India stay alive in the ongoing Oval Test. In the process, the right-hand pacer also joined England skipper Ben Stokes as the leading wicket-taker in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.
Currently, the Indian pacer has 17 wickets, and with one more wicket, he will edge past the England all-rounder, who is not playing the fifth Test due to injury. Apart from this record, Siraj also joined an elite list of Indian bowlers to have taken more than 40 wickets in England. Bumrah leads the list with 51 wickets, followed by Ishant Sharma (51), Kapil Dev (43), Mohammed Shami (42), and Siraj (40).

While everyone was worried about how India would fare in the fifth Oval Test due to Bumrah's absence, Mohammed Siraj served as a timely reminder of why he is rated highly by most for his terrific commitment and the fight he has to always give his all for India.
India bowlers fight as England collapse on Day two
Earlier in the day, the visitors were bowled out for just 224, as they lost the last four wickets for just 24 runs. The hosts raced to a positive start as they bought 100 in just 15 overs. However, the visitors came storming back into the contest as Siraj and Prasidh Krishna picked the majority of wickets, to give India a fair chance of winning the ongoing Oval Test. While the bowlers have brought the visitors into a good position, the job is only half done.
