RCB's digital team has done well across social media platforms in recent years, taking their content to a next level.
RCB's popularity also has a lot to do with Virat Kohli, who himself has 272 million followers on Instagram alone. Kohli’s fame has spread worldwide, helping RCB create social media records.

RCB became the first team to reach 20 million followers on Instagram, leaving rivals Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) behind.Â
Only a few weeks ago, RCB had crossed CSK’s Instagram followers. And now that they have added more and touched the 20 million mark in a flash, it shows their rapid growth and massive fanbase is like no other.
Chennai Super Kings (18.6 million), Mumbai Indians (18 million), Kolkata Knight Riders (7.5 million) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (5.4 million) are behind RCB in this list.
RCB’s rising journey on social media is also because of the energy and passion of their fans. Though the franchise is yet to win an IPL trophy, the RCB faithful have helped them elevate to new heights.

RCB’s Performance in IPL 2025
Royal Challengers Bengaluru have qualified for the playoffs of IPL 2025. They have won eight of their 13 matches this season and have 17 points in their tally.
If they win their last league match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Tuesday, they will finish in the top-two, giving themselves better chances of entering the final and winning their maiden title.
