The visitors, Australia, completed a historic clean sweep of 5-0 against the West Indies, their first-ever triumph in this format, and the first full national team to achieve this record. Meanwhile, the West Indies sank further as they hit a new low.

Australia was clinical in their approach throughout the T20I series, using aggressive batting complemented by a disciplined bowling attack that pinned down West Indies in their territory. The visitors ensured they had a new match-winner in each game from debutant Mitchell Owen to the experienced Ben Dwarshuis, all stepping up in this record-breaking outing in the Caribbean.

Player of the Series - Cameron Green

Cameron Green was named Player of the Match for his consistent form, piling up 205 runs at an average of 68 in 5 matches after a disappointing outing in the Test series. Speaking during the post-match ceremony, Green highlighted the squad’s depth filled with all-rounders, and kept his sights set on the T20 World Cup 2026

“Half the team is made of all-rounders, that's the kind of squad we want to build. We got Maxi and Cooper as well if the wickets are turning. I've had great partnerships around me, and we all lean on each other. Massive series win, the T20 World Cup isn't too far away, so a bit of consistency will be good”. Said Green

Marsh Highlights Squad Flexibility After Dominant 5-0 Series Win

Australian skipper Mitchell Marsh was thrilled with his team’s performance and overwhelmed by the 5-0 result. He emphasized the flexibility within the squad again, pointing out the all-rounders' depth, which he aims to carry forward for future tours

“We have quite a bit of flexibility, we are fluid, and the guys have all come in and taken that opportunity. The way T20 is going, teams just need to keep going. You saw it today with Tim David and the way he played that innings. Looks exciting, long may it continue. We have a huge amount of respect for the West Indies; we just want to focus on our execution and focus on the challenge at hand. Marsh spoke during post post-match presentation.

Shai Hope Looks Ahead After Disappointing 5-0 Loss

West Indies skipper Shai Hope expressed disappointment with the series outcome but stood by his bowling unit and defended their effort. He took away some positives as he turned his focus to hosting Pakistan in a 3-match T20I series that starts from August 1

“Just didn't happen for us today. In the Caribbean, chasing is always better due to the dew and wind factor. But that's not something I can control. We have some clarity in the bowling unit; we executed better. We'll put this behind us and look ahead to the Pakistan series.”

Australia now leaves the Caribbean after a successful tour, a 3-0 result-winning Test series and a dominant 5-0 T20I sweep. They now set their sights on hosting South Africa for a limited overs white ball tour consists of a three-match ODI and T20I series starting on 10th August 2025.
