Anaya Bangar’s Shares Heartwarming Reunion Posts with Sarfaraz Khan’s Family

Anaya Bangar, the child of former Indian cricketer Sanjay Bangar, recently shared a joyful reunion with Indian batter Sarfaraz Khan and his family.

The reunion, captured in a series of vibrant photos and videos shared on social media, highlighted the deep bond forged through their shared love for cricket in Mumbai’s competitive circuit.

Anaya, who once played alongside Sarfaraz, was seen relaxing at the top of a modified car, alongside her friend, with Naushad Khan, Sarfaraz’s father, sitting in the driver's seat. She was also seen playing with Sarfaraz’s toddler son in a video.

Anaya posted about this on Instagram, with the gathering radiating nostalgia. The caption of her post read:

"We held bats before we held phones. Friends since the beginning. Missed you @musheerkhan.97."

Notably, Musheer Khan, Sarfaraz's younger brother, is currently in the Punjab Kings (PBKS) camp for the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025).

Anaya Bangar's Courageous Revelations on Harassment

In a recent interview with Lallantop, Anaya opened up about the harassment she endured in Indian cricket after her gender transition. Formerly known as Aryan, Anaya underwent hormone replacement therapy and gender-affirming surgery.

She recounted disturbing experiences, including receiving unsolicited explicit images from fellow cricketers. Her father told her there was "no space" for her in the sport post-transition.

These incidents, coupled with toxic masculinity, forced Anaya to step back from cricket, a decision that marked a painful chapter in her journey.

"There has been support, and there has been some harassment as well. There have been a few cricketers who randomly sent me nude pictures of themselves," Anaya said as quoted in an interview with Lallantop.
"There was another instance when I was in India, and I told a puraane (veteran) cricketer about my situation. He told me, ‘Let’s go in the car, I want to sleep with you.'" she added.
